Hawaiian Chili Peppers(10 Seeds) ,Super Hot

Hawaiian: This pepper is common in the backyards of Hawai'i. Plants are generally tall and long-lived, with small, bullet shaped fruits that ripen to a bright red and are very hot. Species: C. frutescens; also identified as C. annuum var. glabriusculum Growing Peppers: Peppers, like tomatoes, grow in well-drained fertile soil Almost all peppers have the same requirements for successful growth. Plant them in good, well-drained, fertile soil - and make sure they get lots of sunlight and a good inch of water per week. In many ways, they mimic the same requirements needed for growing great tomatoes. At Planting Time: We plant all of our peppers with a good shovel full of compost in the planting hole, and then give them a good dose of compost tea every few weeks for the first 6 weeks of growth. We also mulch around each of our pepper plants with a good 1 to 2″ thick layer of compost All pepper varieties are Heirloom and/or OP(Open Pollinated.) and Organically Grown Peppers often like to take their sweet time germinating. They can be up in a week, and some will take almost a month. Even with paper towel germination testing, they can take long. I am not sure why, but it is a normal occurrence. So plan and make sure you start them early enough! Also, remember they like heat to germinat...

. which you can drink from the bottle or use as a sauce. A raw bite into one of these little demons will certainly sending you running for the water fountain, or possibly the emergency room. Commonly used in Hawaii to make Chili Pepper Water, a liquid condiment that you pour on food, similar to how you'd use Tabasco sauce. Hawaiian Chili Peppers are also used to make Pepper Jelly, which is really ono on Saloon Pilot Crackers. Also commonly used (very sparingly) in poke and in my late uncle's smoked meat marinade. The young ones are green, turning to yellow than "ripe" when they're a bright reddish-orange. They keep for a long time in the refrigerator and can also be frozen for later use. Though the Hawaiian Chili Pepper has intense heat, it also has wonderful flavor which makes it so desirable for spicing up chili's, soups, and sauces. Plants grow bushy and produce loads of bright golden hot peppers that have a distinctive cayenne flavor. Heavy producer of searing yellow, citrus tasting, hot peppers. The pepper averages 1-2 inch in length. The erect hot fruits stand vertically. This ornamental pepper plant has green stems, green leaves, and white flowers. The little red Hawaiian Chili Peppers keep on producing without any end in sight. .
